What the scheme does
NATS shares part of the stipend paid to a graduate, diploma or vocational apprentice, which brings the cost of training a qualified entrant closer to what an employer can justify.
Enter your numbers and the estimate moves with them. Graduate, diploma and vocational apprentices. Engineering and degree holders being trained in the role rather than trade apprentices off the shop floor.
Running the other scheme as well? Try the NAPS benefit calculator.
Three figures you already know.
Set by notification and revised from time to time. They are editable so you can see exactly what the result rests on. We confirm the current position for your establishment in the written assessment.
Rs0
net cost after the NATS share, for 20 apprentices over 12 months
Indicative only. This is arithmetic on the figures above, not a quotation and not advice. Eligibility, apprentice categories and current scheme parameters are confirmed in the written assessment. Administered under the Ministry of Education through the Boards of Apprenticeship Training, on a different portal from NAPS.
Send us the figures you just entered and we will come back within one working day with a written assessment: what you qualify for, which apprentice categories apply, and what the administration involves.
The share is the easy part to model. These are the parts that decide whether a programme works.

Engineering and degree holders you intend to train into a role. If you are staffing a shop floor with trade apprentices, NAPS is the scheme that applies, not this one.
Absorption. A NATS apprentice you convert into a permanent engineer is a hire you have already trained and already assessed. One you lose at the end of the term is a year of supervision spent on somebody else's employee.
Whether your establishment is registered correctly for NATS, which apprentice categories fit the roles you have, the current scheme parameters, and what the reporting cycle looks like month to month.
No. It is arithmetic on the figures you enter, using scheme parameters you can see and change. Treat it as a sizing exercise, not a quotation. We confirm the current position for your establishment in the written assessment.
Different apprentices and a different administration. NATS covers graduate, diploma and vocational apprentices under the Ministry of Education, through the Boards of Apprenticeship Training. NAPS covers trade apprentices under the skill development ministry. The paperwork, the portal and the eligible categories all differ, and plenty of employers run both. There is a NAPS calculator alongside this one.
Because the share under this scheme is applied to the stipend without a separate monthly ceiling of the kind NAPS uses. Set the cap above zero if you want to model one, and the estimate will apply whichever is lower.
The figures you entered come to us with your contact details, and we send back a written assessment within one working day: what your establishment qualifies for, which apprentice categories apply, and what the administration involves.
Tell us the sites, the roles and the headcount. We will come back with what we would run and what is realistic in your timeline.
