It does not run itself. Registration on the portal, contracts, stipend disbursal and the statutory reporting are the actual work, and they continue for the whole term.
Completion. An apprentice who leaves early takes the training investment with them, which is why supervision and pastoral care matter more than the reimbursement rate.

They are separate schemes for different apprentices. NAPS covers trade apprentices and is administered under the skill development ministry. NATS covers graduate, diploma and vocational apprentices and is administered under the education ministry through the Boards of Apprenticeship Training. Many employers run both.
