Contract Staffing and Workforce Management Across India

We source, verify, deploy and pay your contract workforce, and we carry the statutory obligations that come with it. Blue-collar, technical and support roles across plants, warehouses, stores and data centres.

Headcount is the easy part. Everything after it is the job.

Sending candidates is the start of the work, not the end of it. The questions that matter begin the day those candidates report. Are they registered for provident fund and ESIC? Is the contract labour licence in place for that site, at that headcount? Do the attendance records match the wage register? When a labour inspector arrives unannounced, does the paperwork tell one consistent story?

SourceIT was built around those questions. We started in manufacturing, the environment with the least tolerance for fumbled paperwork, and designed the staffing service around what survives an audit.

Speed came second. It still arrived: for one e-commerce client, more than 700 associates were deployed across multiple locations within three months, onboarded and compliant.

Compliant on day one, not compliant by the end of the quarter.

What our staffing service covers

From the first requirement conversation through to replacement and exit, handled by one account team.

Requirement Mapping

We work from the role, the shift pattern, the site and the skill level. Getting this right is what keeps early attrition down.

Sourcing

An active candidate database built over 15 years, plus local sourcing networks around each of our five offices and the client site itself.

Screening and verification

Identity, address, qualification and previous employment checks, with criminal record and medical fitness checks where the role requires them and consent has been given.

Statutory onboarding

PF and ESIC registration, professional tax where applicable, appointment letters and service agreements issued before deployment.

Deployment

Induction, site briefing, uniform and identification, and a documented handover to your supervisor.

Payroll and benefits

Monthly salary processing, statutory deductions, leave, reimbursements and full and final settlements.

Attendance and MIS

Daily attendance capture, headcount reporting, cost reporting and exception flags, on a fixed monthly cycle.

Replacement and lifecycle

Exits, replacements, escalations and grievance handling managed by the same account team throughout.

Account management

One named manager accountable for the engagement, who visits sites in person.

The compliance structure behind every placement

When you engage contract labour, the law does not transfer the consequences along with the work. Under the Contract Labour Act, 1970 the principal employer remains liable if the contractor fails to pay wages or maintain records. Choosing a staffing partner is therefore a risk decision as much as a procurement decision.

Every worker SourceIT deploys sits inside the structure alongside by default. It is not an add-on, and there is no version of the engagement that leaves it out. Read more about compliance management.

What every SourceIT placement sits inside

Contractor licensing and registration maintained for the site and headcount, renewed before expiry.

Principal employer registration supported and kept current.

PF and ESIC registration completed at onboarding, with contributions filed monthly and reconciled.

Statutory registers and wage records maintained in the prescribed formats under central and state rules.

Attendance, wage register and payroll output reconciled to each other.

Documentation retained and produced on request, at the site itself.

Our team present in person for inspections relating to workforce we deploy.

Completed before anyone reports to site

The onboarding file is finished first. This is the list that decides whether day one is a start date or a liability.

Frequently asked questions about contract staffing

What is contract staffing?

Contract staffing is an arrangement where workers are employed by a staffing company and deployed to work at a client's site under the client's direction. The staffing company carries the employment relationship, payroll and statutory obligations, while the client directs the day-to-day work.

Who is the legal employer of the staff you deploy?

SourceIT is. Deployed workers are on SourceIT's payroll and statutory registrations. You direct the work, we carry the employment obligations, the filings and the audit trail.

Does contract staffing remove our liability under the Contract Labour Act?

No. As principal employer you retain residual liability if the contractor defaults on wages or records. What a properly run contractor does is make that default extremely unlikely, and produce the records that demonstrate it.

Do you carry out background verification?

Yes. Identity, address, qualification and employment verification as standard, with criminal record and medical fitness checks where the role requires them. All checks are run with prior written consent, and the scope is disclosed to the individual before it starts.

What happens if a deployed worker leaves?

Replacement is part of the service. Exit formalities, full and final settlement and the replacement pipeline are handled by the same account team, so a resignation does not become your administrative problem.

Can you take over an existing contract workforce?

Yes. Transitions from an incumbent contractor are common. The critical work is auditing the inherited records before takeover, because you inherit the gaps as well as the people.

Which cities do you operate in?

We operate from Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru, and deploy at client sites beyond those cities.
