Nobody will deny that the COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected everyone, and for some, it has been a sheer battle for survival. The need of the hour is digital transformation. industries that were already on the path of digitization, like IT and e-commerce, were able to bounce back in a short time, with hardly any non-working days. They were able to quickly enable their employees to work remotely. But the manufacturing industry suffered a lot.
There is an urgent need for the government to look into the issue of getting migrant workers back to their city of work. It’s unfortunate that there is high demand in the market for blue-collar staff, but they are not around to avail of this especially when they need their jobs back the most. While the government is announcing the unlocking of lockdown and quarantine rules, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Due to a lack of proper norms or understanding of the existing guidelines around facilitating return of migrant workers, many are taking undue advantage of the situation.
Seeing a gap in the demand supply we took it upon ourselves to get these migrant workers back to work, and assist our clients in getting the sourcing done.
